Exchange for Change offers educational and communication skills-building courses to incarcerated students to amplify and bring their voices to the outside. Through advocacy and education, Exchange for Change provides vision and understanding on both sides of the fence.

Our Program
Exchange for Change offers college-level courses inside Florida’s correctional facilities – taught by expert facilitators, many of them professors and professionals who bring the same standards and respect to the classroom inside as they would anywhere else. Over 70 courses run each year across 8 facilities, reaching more than 700 students annually.
Writing is the thread running through everything we do. Whether the course is Creative Writing, Leadership and Development, Restorative Justice, or Mindfulness, students develop the ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and advocate for themselves and others.
