Janus Wesley is an educator, minister, and community leader whose life’s work has been dedicated to empowering others through education, mentorship, and servant leadership. His passion for helping individuals overcome obstacles and realize their potential has guided his career in education, ministry, and community service.

After earning an Associate of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Miami Dade College, Mr. Wesley received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an ESOL Endorsement from Nova Southeastern University, followed by a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Palm Beach Atlantic University, further equipping himself to serve both the educational and faith communities.

Mr. Wesley serves as a Lead Teacher and Academic Coach with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, where he works within the juvenile justice education system. In this role, he provides
instructional coaching, supports teachers, analyzes student achievement data, and develops strategies that improve teaching and learning for students in alternative educational settings. His work is driven by the belief that every student deserves access to quality education, meaningful support, and the opportunity for a brighter future.

His commitment to educational excellence has been recognized throughout his career. Mr. Wesley was named Rookie Teacher of the Year at Henry E.S. Reeves Elementary School for the 2018–
2019 school year and Teacher of the Year at Norland Elementary School for the 2024–2025 school year. These honors reflect his dedication to student success, instructional leadership, and
educational innovation.

Beyond education, Mr. Wesley serves in the House of God Church, Keith Dominion, where he provides spiritual leadership and mentors emerging leaders. He also serves as the Chapter Chaplain of the Beta Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and as the Financial Secretary of the Black Association of Black School Educators (BABSE). Through each of these roles, he remains committed to strengthening individuals, families, and communities through faith, leadership, and service.

Mr. Wesley is honored to serve with Exchange for Change, an organization whose mission closely aligns with his personal and professional calling. Having dedicated his career to working with
students in alternative and juvenile justice educational settings, he believes that education, mentorship, and meaningful human connection have the power to transform lives. He is committed
to helping create opportunities that inspire hope, foster personal growth, and empower individuals to build brighter futures.

When he is not working, Mr. Wesley enjoys serving his church and community, fishing, cruising, traveling and continuing his own lifelong journey of learning and professional development.
