PROGRAM MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
The Miami-based nonprofit Exchange for Change, which offers educational courses and communications skills-building to incarcerated students to amplify and bring their voices to the outside, is seeking a full time Program Manager.
In addition to working closely with, and supporting the work of, the Executive Director, the Program Manager will ensure the smooth running of E4C’s office, oversee E4C programs and run the day-to-day operations.
A major responsibility includes the oversight and liaison with E4C program facilitators who teach writing classes inside prisons, jails, and residential centers. The PM will coordinate these writing courses, provide administrative support for staff and volunteers, and schedule and provide support for our special programs, which range from trainings to community and national presentations. Additionally, the PM will maintain E4C’s databases, oversee and/or produce social media and website management, and coordinate volunteers, interns, and special project liaisons.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, trustworthy, and competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. Ideally, the Program Manager is a dedicated and energetic individual who believes in and will advocate for E4C’s mission and will foster an effective and warm work environment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Understanding of, and passion for, E4C’s mission
Reliable private transportation (public transportation not available to our local prisons).
Familiarity with and able to maintain spreadsheets on Excel/Google sheets
Work flexible hours (occasional weekend and/or trainings/events)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Self-directed and comfortable working independently
Enthusiasm for fundraising and event planning
Familiar with Google Suite
Familiarity and ease with social media
Preferred
Experience with a variety of office software (Mailchimp, Squarespace, Canva, CRM, accounting software and databases)
Two-year work experience in a field that corresponds to the responsibilities of the position
Spanish proficiency
NOTE: Position will require part-time spent in a socially distanced office environment, hybrid virtual/in-office
