OUR COURSES
Our organization’s top priority is providing high-quality, college-level writing courses to our students on the inside. Our facilitators are experts in their fields, many of them college professors or longtime professionals who are interested in sharing their knowledge with the incarcerated population.
The common thread throughout our wide breadth of courses is writing. All courses are designed to strengthen a student’s writing skills, whether they be creative, analytical, or professional. We believe that with a pen and paper, students can become agents of social change across different communities in ways they may otherwise have never encountered.
Each semester ends with a graduation ceremony that is open to the public. At this ceremony, our students perform pieces they have produced in an Exchange for Change class during the semester. Interested in joining us? Register now!
We regularly publish our students’ writing on our webpage to share their voices with the community.
